Nesting

I spent the better part of my second trimester and the beginning of the third doing some serious nesting.  Purging drawers and closets, organizing the kitchen, sorting things out in Wyatt's room, and of course, getting Ruby Kate's room finished.  I had lots of things stored in boxes that needed to be pulled out and sanitized, (not that it has been THAT long since I've used most of it...)

Pictures never do a scene justice but here we go, I'll at least try.  I have had so much fun setting up a baby girl's room!  We did not go with any specific theme, just wanted it to be girly, fun, warm, and cozy. This is the view from her bedroom door.

I was gifted with some adorable little things for her room, including this blingy butterfly.

This is the view from her bathroom door, which is Jack 'n' Jill style and connects to Wyatt's room.  (Love that!)

View while sitting in the glider in the corner.  Notice the fabulous bed and crib skirt?!  A dear friend of mine made those custom just for Ruby, they are GORGEOUS!

A little night light on the wall, thank you Ikea.

My dear friend Elise made these letters for Ruby!  They are fabulous and look even better up close!

The girl's got some head bands!

Cute little book shelf and "vanity" area for my princess.

Close up of the skirts....if you see closely they sparkle :)

HELLO! Lil' lady has got some clothes, I'll tell you what.  We have been so blessed by friends and family showering us with little girl things, and have been SO fortunate to inherit the most fabulous hand me downs from dear friends with a little girl who is a year older than Ruby.  (Thank you Steve and Lissette!!)

Another dear friend mailed this boppi cover just last week- SO EXCITED!!  Thank you Emily Pierson, you are such a sweet friend.

little odds and ends, can a girl ever have enough decorative pillows?  I think not.

Used some  spare ribbon to create a little interchangeable photo spot.

more headbands...Thank you Mimi....

A quick self portrait...Ruby's room complete at the end of week 36!

Now bring on my baby girl!  This momma's had enough of being pregnant!!!!
Hope you enjoyed.  Please pray for a safe delivery via C-section on May 22.  Many thanks!

Easter/17 Months old.

This picture above pretty much says it all on Easter this year...Our little cutie had a serious spread from the dessert table at brunch.  It basically kept him busy while mommy and daddy were able to eat- he was a mess when we were done! That's what holidays and endless buffet brunches are for, right?  We celebrated Easter this year with the Hullings after church and had a fabulous buffet at Island Way in Clearwater, it was definitely a treat!

No doubt, Daddy enjoyed the buffet as well!

An assortment of pudding and whipped cream in tiny cups with tiny spoons = toddler's dream come true!  Those blue eyes still make my heart throb.

My twinsies in their blue and khaki!

It's getting harder for us to snag some good pics with his lack of ability to sit still or look at a camera!!  I see now why some moms spend the cash on those fancy pants cameras with no delay and multiple snap preferences...hmmm...maybe Christmas?

Hunny Bunny.

This child will not keep anything on his head, we are working on that as it is getting to be hot and sunny here and he still doesn't have much hair to protect that sweet head!!

Literally like a second or two between getting a pic and him yanking those ears off!

My cute nephews at brunch...

Does it get any cuter than this?  Ice cream in a waffle bowl....GOOD CALL!

We spent the day before Easter at Busch Gardens for the morning.  They had an adorable set up for the Easter bunny and we got there right when the gates opened so we didn't have a line!  Wyatt was a little intrigued by the bunny- not scared like he was of Santa, but I wouldn't say he was in love either...

Ok- he's had enough!!  Was cool for a second...

Love this one of him just looking, I wonder what he is thinking?!

Quick family pic with Elmo in Sesame Street Safari.

A beautiful weekend for sure- growing bigger and more exhausted as a mama but so blessed and excited and trying to cherish each moment with my Wyatt.  Everybody says they can sense that a new baby is on the way...I didn't really buy that until recently....He's been increasingly clingy and high maintenance, so I'm taking advantage of lots of snuggles but also having a hard time holding up and lugging him around at 34 weeks pregnant!  Wyatt is starting preschool tomorrow (bittersweet!) He will be doing two half days in church school....I think he's going to love it once he adjusts, he is so smart and loves being around other kids..this will give him that creative play and learning time that he needs, and also give mama a little break!!!  Just wanted to get updated little by little.....working on getting Ruby's room FINISHED and then I will post some MAD OUTRAGEOUS AWESOME PICS!!

Love,
Megs
